Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival takes place in the small town of Kuhmo in Eastern Finland for two weeks each July. The forests, lakes, sauna, bright northern nights – and of course chamber music – are in an essential role in creating the very special “Kuhmo spirit” the festival is famous for. To celebrate the festival’s 50th anniversary, Yle covered one festival day from morning till late evening with 13 hours of live broadcast: concerts in multiple locations, scenery of the beautiful Finnish nature and lively discussions with musicians, local people and festival audience.
