Makoto Ozone At Mount Fuji

  • © NHK – Japan Broadcasting Corporation

Makoto Ozone, who has a stellar career as a jazz pianist, is drawing international attention in recent years for his performance of classical music. Ozone, whose forte lies in the highly improvised playing style, will give a performance to the backdrop of Japan’s highest peak, Mount Fuji. The programme includes works by Chopin, Ravel as well as original pieces he composed. Inspired by the towering blue Mount Fuji, Ozone is at his best during the 55 minutes when he delivers vibrant musicality and ad-lib performances.
