Protector Of Slovenian Song – 50 Years Slovenian Choirs’ Gathering In Sentvid Pri Sticni

The gathering of Slovenian choirs in Sentvid pri Sticni has been a protector of the Slovenian song throughout its history. Its repertoire is firmly based on Slovenian folk and written songs, which are sung every year by thousands of choir singers from all parts of Slovenia. In addition to the precious archival footage, this television report explores the history of the gathering through narratives by Stane Pecek (screenwriter of the gathering), Igor Svara (conductor), Matej Steh (chairman) and Stane Pecek (singer), who has participated every year since the beginning in 1970.
