8K: Fidelio – Royal Opera House

Beethoven’s only opera presented by Royal Opera House in 2020. Music Director Antonio Pappano conducted the story of free and noble marital love with a star-studded cast including Lise Davidsen and Jonas Kaufmann. Tobias Kratzer created a stage with a strong message incorporating projected images to the background of the reign of terror during the French Revolution era. Through the images in 8K-HDR and 22.2 surround sound, viewers can enjoy the true pleasure of opera along with the audience in the theatre. It is a miraculous production recorded right before the theatre was closed due to the spread of Covid-19.
