Celebration Concert At The Occasion Of Germany Assuming The Presidency Of The EU-Council

On the occasion of passing on the presidency of the EU Council from Croatia to Germany in July 2020, Münchner Rundfunkorchester and HRT Symphony Orchestra Zagreb decided to present a joint concert event. As this was not possible live, due to regulations because of the Corona pandemic, it was decided to create this event fully for TV broadcast. The recording features both orchestras and their respective conductors at the venues Herkulessaal in Munich and Croatian National Opera House in Zagreb. The progamme includes music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Strauss and Max Bruch as well as by the Croatian composers Luka Sorkočević, Boris Papandopulo and Jakov Gotovac.
