Danish director Kasper Holten finds in Mozart's dramma per musica, Idomeneo, a great love story of winners and losers in the context of war and trauma. Mozart specialist Bernard Richter shines in the title role Idomeneo, the audience's favorite Valentina Nafornița is a touching Ilia and Irina Lungu impresses as the mad Elettra. In the orchestra pit, Tomáš Netopil drives the orchestra to a finely nuanced peak performance.
