New European Songbook – Beethoven Edition

After the three successful previous projects, New Shakespeare Songbook, New European Songbook, and “War and Peace, in 2020, the EBU is paying homage to the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven in his special anniversary year. Local artists were asked to elaborate musically on the topic. The Austrian entry, Seeking Joy, was created by Austrian singer-songwriter and cellist Marie Spaemann, whose composition focuses on the main theme of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. The video-clip was directed by Florian Senekowitsch.
