Opening Stadtcasino Basel

In September 2020, the Stadtcasino in Basel was reopened in new splendour. The beautiful hall built in 1876 was renovated by the famous architects Herzog & de Meuron and will be used again by the Sinfonieorchester Basel and their chief conductor Ivor Bolton. At the opening the following works were performed: Rolf Liebermann's Phantasie Über Basler Themen Für Basler Trommel Und Großes Orchester, Brahms' 1st Symphony and the world premiere of Helena Winkelman's Gemini For Two Violins And Orchestra performed by the composer and Patricia Kopatchinskaja.
