Paavo Järvi And Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich With Martin Fröst
As of the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Paavo Järvi is the new chief conductor of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich. Among his first projects is the recording of all of Tchaikovsky's symphonies. The orchestra is also taking the Fifth Symphony on tour. Also in their luggage: Aaron Copland's jazz-influenced Clarinet Concerto, featuring Martin Fröst. The structure of the work is unusual: it has only two movements, which are joined together by a clarinet cadenza. Before that, Bartók's subtle Dance Suite.
