During the 2019/20 season, one of America’s greatest operas returned to the Met stage for the first time in 30 years: Gershwins’ portrayal of the lives and struggles of a segregated African-American community in Charleston. S. C. James Robinson’s vibrant new production of Porgy And Bess transports audiences to Catfish Row on the Charleston waterfront with vibrant choreography by Tony Award-nominee Camille A. Brown.
