Renaud Capuçon & David Fray Play Bach
Renaud Capuçon and David Fray perform two concerts in the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse. In the first concert with Renaud Capuçon, three masterpieces are performed, which are distinguished by their contrapuntal richness, the density of their composition and the breadth of their developments. For the second concert, David Fray plays Bach's Concerti for one, two, three and four harpsichords, composed by Bach in Leipzig in 1730. As director of the Collegium Musicum, Bach was to provide a large amount of music for an essentially secular audience. All these concertos are transcriptions of earlier works.
