Salzburg Festival: Wiener Philharmoniker, Gustavo Dudamel & Evgeny Kissin Perform Franz Liszt & Igor Stravinsky

On his debut in 2013, Gustavo Dudamel took the hearts of the audience by storm. Since then he has been an integral part of the festival's concert stage. In 2020, Evgeny Kissin, Salzburg regular ever since his debut in 1987, joins Dudamel and the Vienna Philharmonic to perform Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 – sparkling in the fast runs, warmly singing in the cantilenas and powerful in dialogue with the orchestra that is in no way inferior to the soloist. The celebrity conductor pairs it with Stravinsky’s ballet L'Oiseau De Feu, the piece that made the Russian composer world-famous.
