The Angel Of Nisida

This four act opera by Donizetti was dismembered by the composer himself and used for subsequent works. It came back to life thanks to painstaking musicological research and was performed for the first time in theatrical form at the construction site of Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo in 2019. The eagerly anticipated performance gained outstanding reviews for both the philological work on the score (concuctor Jean-Luc Tingaud together with Director Francesco Micheli and the critical revisor decided to perform the score as it was, without covering up or rewriting the very few passages which were lost) and the direction, set and costume design. Abbiati prize winner.
