The Last Waltz – A Portrait Of Oleg Karavaichuk As An Old Man
Larger than music or a holy fool? A pupil of Shostakovich and Richter he could have made a career as pianist. With his provocative performances and extravagant appearance he soon clashed with the KGB and turned to compose music for some 200 movies. He settled at the artists' colony Komarova near St Petersburg where he reviews his life, talks about music and performs his last waltz. Clips from his films and earlier performances round off the picture of a very special being.
