The Two Arthurs
What connects Arthur Rimbaud and Arthur Honegger? Apparently nothing: they are artists from two different centuries and disciplines. In reality, however, Honegger’s most famous Symphony, Pastorale D’Été, was actually inspired by one of Rimbaud’s poems, Aube. Now, one century after the creation of Pastorale, this aesthetic hybridisation comes alive with the addition of dance. In an unusual form of fiction, Les Deux Arthurs (The Two Arthurs) blends all these disciplines, with the help of choreographers Lena Bagutti and Arno Ferrera, the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana conducted by John Axelrod and the actors Camilla Baumann and Ugo Fiore.
