Unresting
Staatsballett Hannover presents three choreographers addressing the themes of restlessness and standstill: On the occasion of Beethoven's 250th birthday, Brazilian choreographer Juliano Nuñes creates his first commissioned work for the Staatsballett Hannover. In Moonlight, Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 29 in B flat major, which was written under the most severe physical strain, is contrasted with Juliano Nuñes' contemporary choreographic handwriting. Jiří Kylián's solo Double You depicts life in its vulnerability – at the same time it is an ode to the human willingness to risk everything. Finally, Lukáš Timulak’s Masculine/Feminine plays with stereotypical role models of men and women.
