X. International Violoncello Festival Vivacello

Vivacello is the only festival in Russia dedicated to cello music. It was established in 2008 upon an initiative of the famous cellist Boris Andrianov with support of Iveta and Tamaz Manasherov’s cultural and charity fund U-Art: You and Art. Since then every autum Moscow has been hosting spectacular events related to the cello. The festival is unique because it features the cello in completely different genres: in combination with a jazz band and guitar, orchestra and video art, or in theatrical productions. Vivacello fully represents the instrument’s many-sidedness, which the great Mstislav Rostropoich always accentuated and proved.
