Gala Concert For Empty Hall
During the pandemic, the Opéra Comique was unable to welcome the public but continued to stage performances. This special concert, in an idiosyncratic style, was entrusted to Michel Fau, singer, actor and director of theatre and opera. As a worthy heir to the satirical tradition of Offenbach, Michel Fau has conceived a prestigious gala performance, which in the absence of a live audience descends into burlesque craziness. This lyric parody makes the most of the vocal and theatrical talents of soloists who perform excerpts from operatic works (Carmen, Norma, Orfeo and Euridice, Iphigenia in Aulis, Véronique, La Belle Hélène…) and from musical shows (Cats…).
