Il Turco In Italia

Opening Night of the new production of Roberto Andò's Il Turco in Italia, conducted by Diego Fasolis was the last performance at Teatro alla Scala in 2020 before theatres were closed. It was a rousing success for all with a standing ovation for the lead Rosa Feola. Premiering at La Scala in 1814 and reprised in the following century by Gavazzeni with Callas and Chailly with Devia, the opera returns to delight and seduce the audience with Erwin Schrott and Antonino Siragusa joining the cast alongside Rosa Feola and Giulio Mastrotataro.
