Mischa Maisky, Vasily Petrenko, Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra

In 2021, Vasily Petrenko assumed the post of the artistic director of the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, replacing Vladimir Yurovsky. On September 26, he debuted in his new capacity on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Hall. The programme included the Overture to Smetana's opera "The Bartered Bride", the Second Symphony of the English classic Edward Elgar and the Cello Concerto by Antonín Dvořák, in which the outstanding cellist Misha Maisky performed the solo part.
