My Life With Bohuslav Martinů

My Life with Bohuslav Martinů is a feature documentary about the life and work of the famous Czech composer. The film is partly inspired by the book of the same name – written by his wife Charlotte who is also the main narrator of the story. The second one is Bohuslav's friend and biographer Miloš Šafránek, who unhappily became involved with the Czechoslovak State Security. The film combines fictional scenes with the narrative of a documentary and period archives in order to present not only the music of a genius composer, but also his personal life, feelings and attitudes.
