Cuban Dances – A Musical Road Trip With Sarah Willis
Last year, Sarah Willis hit the classical charts with "Mozart y Mambo". Now the Berlin Philharmonics horn player is returning to Cuba in "Buena Vista Social Club" style. She has a newly composed orchestral work with her, the "Cuban Dance Suite", which is based on the Cuban dance music tradition. It is the red thread of our film and the route map for an extraordinary road trip through Cuba. With the Havana Lyceum Orchestra and six young composers, Sarah Willis sets off across Cuba. In "Cuban Dances", single movements of the suite are performed in places where they originate.
