Fabio Luisi, NHK Symphony Orchestra’s New Chief Conductor
To capture the magnetism of world-class conductor Fabio Luisi, who became the new chief conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra for the 2022-2023 season, the program focused on him in Italy, his home country, and at home in Switzerland. It captured Luisi conducting the historical event “Carmina Burana” held at St. Mark’s Square in Venice after the pandemic, and eagerly teaching a master class at the prestigious Milan Conservatory. At home in Zurich, Switzerland, he was filmed pursuing his ultimate pastime to seek ideal beauty through “perfume blending.”
