Giacomo Puccini: Turandot

Puccini's last work Turandot gave the world one of the greatest hits of opera of all times: Nessun Dorma. For his new production at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Philipp Stölzl created the character of Turandot as a monstrous, gigantic and convertible puppet. A surreal production inspired by Black Romanticism with a brilliant cast starring Elena Pankratova, Aida Garifullina, Siegfried Jerusalem and René Pape. The Staatskapelle Berlin is conducted by Zubin Mehta.
