Balance, Or How To Attune Spaces

Entered by Charlotte Nies
Submitted for dancescreen 2019

”Balance, or How to Attune Spaces” is an installative exploration of movement in its different fields of real and reality. Organic-digital dimensions whirl, confront and connect in an illusory, immersive gravity. Dance and its virtual counterpart struggle for equilibrium. The writing of movement into the spaces is an invitation to what could become an overwhelming experience. The installation consists of a square space of 4x4m using rear-projection screen. The image is projected by 4 beamers (one per wall, each 1920x1080p) from outside of the cube. The public can enter or walk around the cube, seeing the image from both sides.
