Bataville 1931-2002
Bataville 1931-2002 is a video dance project honoring the life time experience of industrial workers. This tribute to daily practice and body memories brings back the experience of the craftswomen and men of the shoes factory Bataville in France. After the closing of the factory hundreds of people found themselves jobless and disoriented. The notion of their reality and their dreams crashed through the hard reality of global economical changes. Through this narration we honor them as well as the deepness contained in the simplicity of a gesture.
