Doubles

Doubles features esteemed New York choreographer and dancer Daniel Gwirtzman moving with his twin in a variety of settings. A kaleidoscope of symmetry and form, Doubles frames fragmented shards of choreography splintered between fluidity and precision. In 2019, the film’s premiere, Daniel celebrates his 20th anniversary as the director of Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company and the dancer that has worked with the choreographer the longest, himself! Filmed in southern France, southern Spain and New York City over a span of three years, Doubles documents a body of recent work and a finely-tuned dancing body.
