Lascia
Nobel & beauty “Lascia” is one of Georg Handels most known melodies. And its overwhelming aesthetic is captured in this short film performed in the Golden Hall in Stockholm, with 18 million pieces of mosaics and home to the Nobel prize laureates ceremonial rooms. Prize winning conductor Natalia Edwall doesn’t shy away from beauty, instead she creates elaborate performances with the great classics. When some aim to uncover the hardships of reality, these original pieces adds other layers too. All the performers from Adolf Fredriks musikklasser performing the loved air “Lascia ch’io pianga" are no more than 15 years young, all devoted to bring forth classical art into the future.
