In Season 2 of Move!, the Luxembourg dancer and choreographer Sylvia Camarda explores the culture of dance and movement between Tunis, Southafrica and Senegal, seeking answers to the question: What moves people? Because on the one hand, movement is highly individual, like the fingerprint of a person’s motor system. On the other hand, it appears to follow a collective process. But what determines the moves of a group or a nation? Is the way we walk, gesticulate, dance or play football encoded in our genes? Or is it the result of millennia of collective experiences? What roles do faith, history, gender and background continue to play in it to this day?
