Spartacus
One of The Australian Ballet’s most popular works springs to new life in this stunning evocation of a gladiator-slave’s rebellion against oppression. Charting the journey of a man finding passionate love, his life’s mission and finally his freedom, this rousing production of Spartacus is a powerful and profound experience. A passion project for choreographer Lucas Jervies, NIDA-trained director and a former dancer of The Australian Ballet, the performance showcases the company’s men at their spirited and athletic best. Features the soaring music of Aram Khachaturian, as well as sets and costumes by Jérôme Kaplan.
