The Seeming Space Between Us
“The Seeming Space Between Us- Using Dance to Describe Fascia” is an experimental film where dancers, enrobed and emmeshed in fascia-like fabric and it’s web, move to the poetry of anatomist Dr. Gil Hedley. Theories of embryonic fascial development, biotensegrity physics, collagen fibers, and their light transmitting qualities influence this film. The beauty and mysterious nature of this newly discovered tissue is described in motion, and how it’s spaces and movement connects us more than substance.
