What The Day Owes To The Night
For this ballet, Hervé Koubi relies on an artistic element, to find frames that inspire shapes, gestures, then, choreographic phrases. For this ballet, he thought of lace, that came from the Orient, and connected to embroidery. The Orient is the land of this great artistic and literary movement, called Orientalism. Then it is like an orientalist, of the 19th century, that Hervé Koubi gives life to his dreams of the Orient.
