The Reed Warbler

Last year in the fall of 2014 I was approached by Dans i Nord to create a piece. At this time I was looking for inspiration and one day I was watching a nature documentary about this specific species of bird called the Cuckoo. While watching this I was thinking to myself, why not use this image of the bird and its journey of its life to lay out the foundation of my piece. So there after I put myself to work on this creation. As a choreographer, the concept of images speak to me. I like to use this as a platform for my work. The fantasy and creative spirt is something that I like to drive my work forward and to move this specific piece along with it. I like to leave a margin of freedom to the public so that they can make their own story or not. So, just be free. That's no-brainer, it's my job. Relax and enjoy! The reed warbler.
