HOCHWALD is a city-moving nature theatre and music drama about paradise and its loss during the war. A father fears for his two daughters' safety and brings them to a hidden hut. Nevertheless the building is located in the untouched forest, a young man who's in love with one of the girls finds their hideaway. Joey Wimplinger's text version translates Adalbert Stifter's romantic novel from 1842 into the urban landscape and cityscape of Linz. Diggers, forklifts, lorries, and ships bring a veritable conifer forest - including dozens of trees and a forest hut - to dance in a monumental choreography.
