Widow_Remix

Based on a site-specific live solo performance, "Widow_remix" depicts the gradual unraveling of one woman’s interior world. The narrow architecture of the space she inhabits not only reflects the trajectory of her movement, but encapsulates her within her confined universe. Wearing a black dress reminiscent of 1940’s glamour, the woman’s iconic retro style contrasts a white, futuristic environment, creating a stark, surrealist cinematic image. The juxtaposition of extreme slow motion with rapid edit shots further enhances the volcanic psyche of the seemingly self-controlled woman. The guttural, inarticulate vocals underscore the primal terror and fear that gradually escalates throughout the film.
