Armide

  • © Warszawska Opera Kameralna

A legendary Lully opera directed by Deda Cristina Colonna recorded during the 9th Festival of Baroque Opera – performed for the first time in the history of Polish opera. A perfect blend of Francesco Vitali’s lighting effects, the choreography by Karin Modigh and the artistry of the Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense orchestra conducted by Benjamin Bayl. The whole spectacle was produced under the artistic guidance of Alicja Wegorzewska-Whiskerd, who, later, has been awarded the Giuseppe di Stefano prize at the ceremonial gala in the antique Teatro Antico in Taormina.
