Beethoven: Mass In C Major, Hummel: Trumpet Concerto In E Major, Stravinsky: Symphony In Three Movements

Coinciding with his 75th birthday in January 2018, Maestro Mariss Jansons led the BR Choir and the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in a widespread programme at the Gasteig Philharmonic Hall, Munich. Stravinsky’s Symphonie in Three Movements was followed by one of the most popular trumpet concertos, Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto in E major, with Martin Angerer as soloist. The concert culminated in the performance of the Mass in C major op. 86 by Ludwig van Beethoven. Genia Kühmeier, Gerhild Romberger, Maximilian Schmidt and Luca Pisaroni form the cast of this outstanding production.
