Grieg – Minute By Minute. 30 Hours Of Beautiful Music – From The Beginning To The End

Edvard Grieg lived 23456 days or 1,407,360 minutes. NRK celebrated his 175th birthday with a 30-hour live broadcast from 6 pm on Friday 15 June to Saturday 16 June late evening. We produced it as "slow-TV" and tone by tone, minute by minute, all Grieg's works were presented in a chronological order. Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and a whole string of prominent choirs, singers and musicians among them names like Leif Ove Andsnes and Henning Kraggerud participated in the happening. This became a journey through Grieg's life and many of his experiences.
