Hans Zender – Think With Your Senses

  • © RM Creative

At 82, composer, conductor and essayist Hans Zender looks back on an extraordinary career. We meet Zender in the spectacular setting of his Glaserhäusle at Meersburg overlooking Lake Constance where he talks about his life, his infatuation with Japanese culture, and the “pure tones” he produces with his Microtonal Keyboard. Archive footage from masterclasses and memorable concerts, in particular his “composed interpretation” of Schubert's Winterreise, will round off the profile of a major influence on the contemporary music scene, with Teodor Currentzis and Helmut Lachenmann paying homage to an innovator and champion of music of our time.
