Juliet And Romeo
This production of Juliet And Romeo gives us the rare opportunity to cast an eye over Nicola Vaccai’s most successful work. The key, of course, is the love story, but not a single moment of the teenager’s love is happy as from the curtain’s rise we could sense tragedy and death hovering over the stage. Cecilia Ligorio’s staging led to a beautiful and elegant performance with a gloomy touch. The set, created by Alessia Colosso, with its transversal wall, which is in the first act Giulietta’s balcony, and in the second one a cemetery, was of great impact.
