The veil has been lifted: since late 2016, the electro-soul artist long known under the pseudonym of Chet Faker has been producing music under his real name of Nick Murphy. The Australian confirmed this decision last year by releasing a new EP, Missing Link, his first under his birth name. Far from just an insignificant whim, this change of title reflects an in-depth overhaul of his music. No more hiding behind concepts or special effects: "2017 was a year of risk and exploration", he summarized in a January message on Facebook, also posting a short film for his magnificent song Missing Link.
