Rinaldo

  • © Pascal Perennec

With Rinaldo, Händel plunges us into the chivalrous world of crusades on a background of romance. With birds, dragons, lightning and thunderbolts, this spectacular work demonstrates the dramatic mastery of the composer on a dreamlike and powerful score. This is a great "machine" opera that the musical director Bertrand Cuiller and the director Claire Dancoisne seize with their twenty-seven performers.
