One of the last concerts of Sir Simon Rattle as chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra: The concert evening unites the British character head and a great singer, the mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca, with youth works by Alban Berg and Maurice Ravel. The evening's main work is Igor Stravinsky's ballet music Petruschka, which premiered in 1911.
