Swan Lake By Tchaikovsky

  • Siegfried (Marcos Menha) and Odette (Marlucia do Amaral) © Gert Weigelt

Swan Lake is probably the most famous ballet of all time. The multiple award-winning Swiss choreographer Martin Schläpfer tells the fairytale story about growing up in his highly expressive dance language and takes us into a world into which Black Romanticism with all its secrets, dreams, longings and dark creatures breaks in. In Peter Schönhofer's powerful film adaptation, the work, premiered in June 2018 with the Ballett am Rhein and the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Axel Kober, can now be seen on television.
