Ruprecht falls for Renata and unconditionally follows her in Renata’s obsessive search for the fulfillment of her erotic fantasies with an angel. The two cross the boundaries of perception and leave all rules of morality and reason behind. Their willingness to surrender body and soul threatens to completely dissolve their previous existence, as Mariusz Trelinski, named best director at the 2018 International Opera Awards, shows in his mesmerizing staging.
