The Italian Girl From Algiers By Gioacchino Rossini

The new production of Rossini's L'Italiana In Algeri premiered in Salzburg at the 2018 Whitsun Festival. The artistic director herself – the great Cecilia Bartoli – embodies Isabella with her incorruptible mezzo-soprano. Directed by the duo Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier. Jean-Christophe Spinosi conducts the original sound ensemble Matheus.
