This film takes as its basis the popular and acclaimed documentary made by Chris Hunt and shown when he died, but is now updated with new material dealing with his death and legacy, including substantial new interviews with members of his close family. It does not shirk the darker allegations that dogged him, but in the main, this is a major celebration of the music of the greatest pop entertainer of his generation.
