On 8 September 2018 President Vladimir Putin opened the Zaryadye Philharmoninc Hall, a brilliant new venue in Zaryadye Park, Moscow. Valery Gergiev and his Mariinsky Orchestra provided the fitting framework for the event with an all-Russian programme of music by Shchedrin, Glinka, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov. Soloists include Albina Shagimuratova, Ildar Abdrazakov, Daniil Trifonov, Pinchas Zukerman, Anna Netrebko and Yuri Eyvasov.
