BBC Proms 2019

  • © BBC Music

The BBC Proms is a classical music festival held every summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Its aim: to bring the best in classical music to the widest possible audience, which remains true to founder-conductor Henry Wood's original vision in 1895. This year's highlights included Sheku Kanneh-Mason performing Elgar's Cello Concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and John Wilson's virtuoso orchestra celebrating the music of one of the world's most famous film studios, Warner Brothers, including works by Max Steiner and Erich Korngold.
