Berlioz: Grande Messe Des Morts (Requiem) op. 5

This live performance pays tribute to the genius of Berlioz on the exact day of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s death (8 March 1869) in the spectacular setting of London's St Paul's Cathedral. John Nelson is one of today’s foremost Berlioz conductors. His recent Berlioz recordings received international praise, including Gramophone’s Recording of the Year, and this performance of the Requiem received a "Choc" from the magazine Classica, praising this performance as the work's new reference recording.
